Russian Abstract: В статье представлен краткий обзор основных подходов к социологиче-скому анализу социального пространства. Максимальным разнообразием проявлений социального пространства обладают города. Городское про-странство предстает местом концентрации человеческих взаимодействий и деятельности, образуя социальные поля и социальное пространство. Уни-версальным инструментом изучения социального пространства и его структур является социологический анализ посредством выделения в них формы, структуры и функций (по А.Лефевру). English Abstract: The article presents a brief overview of the main approaches to the sociological analysis of social space. Cities have the maximum variety of manifestations of social space. Urban space appears to be a place of concentration of human interactions and activities, forming social fields and social space. A universal tool for the study of social space and its structures is sociological analysis through the allocation of forms, structures and functions in them (according to A. Lefebvre).
