Abstract
In this paper, a novel power calculation algorithm is proposed based on third-order generalized integrator for improving dynamics characteristics in droop control. Power calculation algorithm is important in droop control because it affects the characteristics of droop control. Conventionally, the power calculation method using low-pass filter has been widely used, but there is a problem because the phase delay necessarily occurs due to the dynamics of low-pass filter. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel power calculation method with zero-phase delay at fundamental frequency by utilizing third-order generalized integrator. By using the proposed calculation method, it can achieve to have strong noise rejection about high-order harmonics and dc offset with no phase delay at fundamental frequency.
