Abstract

The article presents data on the preliminary results of the interdepartmental working group activities to prevent schoolshooting and the spread of Columbine ideology in Nizhny Novgorod region. Columbine is a widespread misanthropic concept based on subjective experiences of one’s own greatness (most often of a compensatory nature) and extreme solipsism combined with ideas about surrounding people as «biowaste». Understanding of the systemic nature and bio-psychosocial conditionality of the phenomenon led to the creation of an interde-partmental working group, and the low efficiency of traditional management methods – the use of the search conference method. It allowed for the formation of a roadmap with input from representatives of all profession-al groups and provided ample opportunity for personal initiative as the main means of overcoming doubts and skepticism, based on the learned principle of professional equality and the right to freely express one’s ideas.
