Abstract

Automation of the parking lot is required due to the labor cost burden and labor shortage. Because the developed parking lot management system (PLMS) is used in only billing the parked cars, the unmanned (PLMS) must be developed. In this paper, we proposed an autonomous mobile robot and control system for unmanned parking lot management. This robot monitors incidents as well as illegally parked vehicles while monitoring the parking lot information and the robot position is estimated by fusing the dead reckoning with inertial measurement unit. After application of the developed autonomous (PLMS) to the real parking lot, we confirmed the usefulness of the proposed PLMS.
