모바일 RFID 기술 표준화 활동 및 전략

Abstract

모바일 RFID 기술은 RFID 통신, 이동통신 및 네트워크 인프라, 그리고 정보 처리 기술이 결합된 대표적인 융합 기술이다. 모바일 RFID 기술은 사용자의 주변 사물에 대한 정보 소통을 가능케 함으로써, 언제, 어디서나, 원하는 정보 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 유비쿼터스 정보 사회의 기반 기술이라 할 수 있다. 우리나라는 모바일 RFID 기술에 대한 조기 개발 및 표준화 노력을 경주하여, 기술 주도권 확보와 함께 국제 표준화를 선도하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 모바일 RFID 기술의 국내외 표준화 활동 및 현황을 정리하고, 주요 표준화 이슈를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 제반 영향 요인에 대한 분석을 통해 모바일 RFID 표준화 전략을 제시하고자 한다. Mobile RFID technology as a typical Convergence technology combines RFID communication, mobile communication and network infrastructure, and information processing technology. As it enables users to communicate with the surroundings, Mobile RFID technology is now recognized to serve as the basis technology for the Ubiquitous Information Society where users can get the needed information anytime and anywhere. Through lots of efforts for the early technology development and standardization activities on Mobile RFID technology, Korea has been leading technology standardization as well as technology initiatives. Thus, this research paper describes the domestic and the international standardization activities on Mobile RFID technology as well as the latest standardization status. Further this paper summarizes the major standardization issues, and then proposes the standardization strategy of Mobile RFID technology by analyzing the relevant and influential factors.
