Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to study attitudes towards the use of professional learning community concepts (PLC) in teacher development of government teachers in the Bangkok area, 2) to examine the consistency of causal models factors affecting attitudes in using the concept of professional learning community (PLC) in teacher development with empirical data, and 3) to develop a causal model factors affecting the attitudes in using the concept of professional learning community (PLC) in teacher development of government teachers in the Bangkok area. 400 government teachers in the Bangkok area were drawn to be the sample of the study. The research instruments, 1 questionnaire for factors affecting attitudes by using the concept of professional learning community (PLC) in teacher development and 1 questionnaire for knowledge measurement form about the concept of professional learning community (PLC), were used to collect the data which were analyzed by SPSS to find basic statistics, and analysis of causal structural equation models by using the LISREL program. The results were found that causal models factors affecting attitudes by using the concept of professional learning community (PLC) in teacher development of government teachers in the Bangkok area had consistent with empirical data at ( =157.17,df=126,p = .0000,  / df = 1.25, RMSEA = .023, CFI = .96, SRMR = .043). Variables with direct influence on attitudes towards the use of professional learning community concepts (PLC) in teacher development with statistically significant at .05 level were motivation factors in work, which had the size of 0.39, the organizational climate factor had the effect size of 0.34, and the happiness factor in work had the influence size of 0.25 respectively.
