Abstract
神奈川県食肉衛生検査所において牛及び豚の疣贅性心内膜炎から分離され，簡易同定キットでGemella属，Granulicatella属あるいはピリドキサール依存性グラム陽性球菌と同定された17株の16S rDNAの塩基配列を解析したところ，すべてがHelcococcus ovis（H. ovis）と同定された．これより本菌は牛ばかりでなく豚の疣贅性心内膜炎の原因菌となることが示唆された．また，H. ovisを分離した牛の疣贅部の免疫染色では，疣贅部にH. ovisの存在を確認することができた．さらに，2組のプライマーを用いたH. ovisに特異的なPCR法を開発し，上記の17株及び他のグラム陽性球菌27株を用いて検討したところ，検討した17株は特異的にH. ovisと同定された．これより，本PCR法はH. ovisの迅速同定法として有用であると考えられた．
