Abstract

Studies are underway to develop technologies for improving the output and efficiency of the gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) by means of the cold energy of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This paper discusses the present situation of LNG power generation in Japan and the evaluation of the efficiency of intake cooling GTCC, MGT and SOFC/GT as well as the result of the development of cooling air to -100℃ or below with the test unit.
