Abstract

The article discusses the specifi cs of Alexey Remizov’s works that correspond to the literary and journalistic form of «In Memoriam» genre. These texts differ drastically, both in form and in content, from the traditional funeral genres, such as an obituary or a graveside oration. The Appendix to the article contains the «memorable word» by Remizov, dedicated to Abram Yu. Dobry, a Parisian fi nancier, philanthropist and connoisseur of Russian culture. Since the time of its fi rst publication in 1939, this text has been out of reach of the academic community.
