Abstract

The physicochemical properties of cardiocyclide, a new original class III antiarrythmic agent, have been studied. Methods for the of analysis of cardiocyclide hydrochloride salt, N-(3-diethylaminopropyl)-N-para-nitrobenzoyl)-aminoacetic acid dicyclohexylamide hydrochloride, have been developed. The IR, 1H NMR, and UV spectra of cardiocyclide were obtained and the solubility, melting point, water loss on drying, transparency and color of solutions, pH of aqueous solutions, and chromatographic purity (thin-layer chromatography) have been determined. The method of quantitative assay is based on the nonaqueous acid - base titration.
