Abstract

The activity of the β-glucuronidase inhibitor(BGI) previously described in whole human saliva was measured in individual saliva samples. BGI-activity was related to the ABO blood group and secretor status. No apparent relation was detected between DMF scores and either BGI activity, or secretor status. However, in non-secretors, a significant positive correlation was observed between DMF scores and BGI-activity.
