Abstract

Recently, the amount of sewage sludge in waste is increasing. However, the technology for thermal recycling of sewage sludge is not established yet. The purpose of this study is to develop a co-gasification technology for a mixture of sewage sludge and higher calorific fuel such as plastic waste. Co-gasification experiments have been performed in a lab-scale bubbling fluidized bed. As to the results, gasification gases such as H_2, CO, CH_4, C_2H_4, C_2H_6 and C_3H_6 were produced. Concentration of the gases obtained increase as air ratio is reduced. Heating value of the obtained eas is higher than 1500 kcal/m^3N for an air ratio of 0.3.
