Abstract
Λ doubling transitions of CH X 2Π have been observed in a rf discharge in various gas mixtures. The measured frequencies are fitted together with the astrophysical lines and with recent MODR measurements. A set of molecular parameters is derived, and the hyperfine and Λ doubling structure is carefully analyzed. The frequencies of some transitions of astrophysical interest are predicted with high accuracy.
