Abstract

The tourism industry is facing the unprecedented challenge of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) caused by Coronavirus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of the Covid-2019 pandemic on the state and development of the tourism industry. The impact of pandemics on tourism development was analyzed, the impact of the Covid-2019 pandemic on the state and development of the tourism sector - tourist flow, receipts from international tourism, was considered. The vision of the development of tourism and related industries, the value chain in the context of a pandemic in some countries at the beginning of May 2020 was analyzed. The main approaches to restrictive measures are identified. Possible forecasts for the development of the tourism sector after the Covid-2019 pandemic are presented. Analyzed government measures to support the economy in general and in particular the tourism sector.
