Abstract

Nonlocal separable potentials are used to represent the $^{3}S_{1}\mathrm{np}$ and the $^{3}S_{1}$ isospin-\textonehalf{} $\mathrm{YN}$ ($Y=\ensuremath{\Lambda}, \ensuremath{\Sigma}$) potentials. For different sets of $\mathrm{YN}$ potential parameters, both $\ensuremath{\Lambda}N$ triplet cross sections far below the $\ensuremath{\Sigma}N$ threshold and $\ensuremath{\Lambda}d$ quartet cross sections far below the $\ensuremath{\Sigma}\mathrm{NN}$ threshold are calculated. The $\ensuremath{\Lambda}d$ cross sections are much more sensitive to the coupling of the $\ensuremath{\Lambda}N$ and $\ensuremath{\Sigma}N$ channels as well as to the presence of a $\ensuremath{\Lambda}N$ resonance.
