Abstract

The ratio of security CCTVs to the number of public CCTVs has been increasing recently. Thus, a reasonable standard for the installation location of CCTV is required. In order to effectively select a location suitable for CCTV, this study proposes a method of scoring and visualizing CCTV priority installation areas by analyzing and utilizing public data and CCTV geographic information data through GIS. The public data we used are criminalist section data provided by the Korean National Police Agency, public and commercial facility data in the specific region, and geographic information data of CCTV. In particular, the actual visible area of CCTV was derived as a polygon using the α-Concave Hull algorithm through collision detection between the building and the visible area of CCTV. Furthermore, the results were improved by using it in analyzing geographical factors and adjusting AHP factors.
