Abstract

The energy and momentum spectra of photons, based on 1017 electron pairs observed in an emulsion stack exposed to a 50 GeV/c π− beam, have been presented. We find, [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text], where qT and qL are respectively the transverse and longitudinal momenta of the photon. Kopylov's relations are then used to obtain the corresponding π0 parameters. We obtain [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], where pT and pL represent respectively the transverse and longitudinal momenta of the π0.
