Abstract

The construction of reciprocating compressors with a higher shaft rotational speed enabled us to reduce significantly their outer dimensions and weight as well as their cost. In addition, a high-speed compressor can be made on a frame in the block design. This reduces the cost of assembling and construction work, and allows to put faster the compressor into operation. On the development of the reciprocating compressor with a higher rotary speed which is a part of the compressor installation 4GM10A-32/1,4-28,5 intended for compression and feeding of the associated petroleum gas into the gas pipeline has been reported. In the compressor a limited lubrication of cylinders and rod packings is applied. The development of the compressor was carried out using the method of parametric modeling which significantly reduced the time spent for issuing the design documentation.
