Abstract

The seismic survey is universally recognized to be the main and the most successful<br>geophysical method of searching the hydrocarbon traps. And if earlier the studying and the mapping of<br>structural peculiarities of sedimentary cover was considered to be the most traditional task of the seismic<br>survey, nowadays on the contrary the possibilities of modern interpretational package, the analysis of<br>correlation between typical pictures of seismic reflection on time sections and conditions of sedimentation<br>known by results of drilling let us define the interior structure of medium, its physical and geological<br>characteristics. As a result it opens for us new possibilities for more successful and precise prognostication of<br>hydrocarbon traps.<br>The results of seismic 3D works on Ermolovskaya area, done during the period 2007-2008, are represented<br>in the report. The aims of the work are to make the geological structure of sedimentary cover’s deposits (P2-<br>O) more precise, to search the objects, being perspective in oil and gas, to study the zone of proposed<br>carbonaceous structures of Lower Perm’s coal and Upper Devon’s age in details, to prepare the anticlinal<br>and non-anticlinal oil-perspective objects in the deposits of Perm-Ordovic, to form the recommendation for<br>placing the wells. The possibilities of using modern software for deciding a great amount of geological<br>problems, such as the mapping of deposits, the revelation and prognostication of zones which are perspective<br>in presence of hydrocarbon deposits are shown in the report.
