Abstract

New topology-based extended solid models (non-Euler solid models, geometric cell complex chains) including linear spaces and half spaces, and their Boolean operations are defined and applied to a two-dimensional solid modeler. Their Boolean operations are defined by three-tuples of common subdivision operation, set operations, and cellular mapping, basic operations of cell complex chains, in the same manner as those of original models. In this modeler, Boolean operations of two models which have boundary elements (vertexes and edges) in contact can be carried out.
