Abstract
Aseries of 2-thiocyanato-(2-methyl)-3-arylpropanamides and products of their heterocyclisation, 2-amino-5-benzyl-(5-methyl)thiazol-4-ones have been synthesized. The synthesized compounds exhibit rather high antibacterial activity with respect to strains of staphylococci, intestinal rods, aerobic bacillus, and yeast fungi. The majority of these compounds show clearly expressed anticandidiasis effect.
