Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the service quality of sports events and the structural relationship between participation satisfaction, behavioral intention, and event performance after participation.BR Method: The subject of this study was a sample of 220 copies using a convenient sampling method among non-probability sampling methods for visitors who attended the ‘2021 Goyang-KTA Taekwondojang Education Industrial Fair’ and used it for analysis. For data processing, the fit of the model was verified using SPS S 25.0 and AMOS 24.0.BR Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the service quality of sports events had a significant positive effect on participation satisfaction. Second, it was found that the service quality of sports events did not have a significant positive effect on behavioral intention. Third, it was found that the participation satisfaction of visitors had a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention. Fourth, it was found that the participation satisfaction of the spectators had a positive and significant effect on the sports event performance. Fifth, it was found that the behavioral intention of the spectators had a positive and significant effect on the sports event performance.BR Conclusion: Taken together, these results have academic significance in understanding the characteristics of the visitors participating in the Taekwondo Expo and establishing a service strategy to satisfy the visitors. In addition, it has practical significance in that it can contribute to the economic revitalization of the host region by providing a sense of satisfaction as an exposition to satisfy diversified visitors for the purpose of providing information only for professional Taekwondo participants in the initial exposition.
