Abstract
AbstractSynonyms are an important part of Chinese vocabulary learning, although they have the same meaning, but they are not exactly the same. They are various subtle differences. For example “zuihou” and “zhongyu”, although these two words have similar meanings, their usage is different. Therefore, Chinese learners are prone to misuse these two words. In order to understand the mastery condition of Mandarin Educations Study Program FKIP UNTAN 2019 students toward mastery of the synonym words “zuihou” and “zhongyu”, the writer uses a quiz to test the students and analyze the difficulties of “zuihou” and “zhongyu”. The test results show that students have a better grasp of the synonymous words “zuihou” and “zhongyu”. The percentage of correct answers for the word “zuihou” is 70.10% and the percentage of correct answers for the word “zhongyu” is 66.07%, the percentage of correct answers show that the mastery of students in the synonym “zuihou” was better than “zhongyu”.Keywords: Condition of Mastery, Synonym Word, Zuihou and Zhongyu
