Abstract

The legislative process is one of the important activities of the state, which is to find a balance between the in-terests of society and the state when adopting laws. Therefore, the most important contents related to the legis-lative process are always enshrined in the Constitution of the State – the basic law, which has the highest legal force. In Vietnam, a number of issues related to the legislative process are also mentioned in the current Con-stitution of 2013. The Constitution of Vietnam has fixed certain elements of the legislative process: the right of legislative initiative; quorum for the adoption of laws; publication of laws by the head of state. The article focus-es on the analysis and evaluation of the provisions of the Constitution of Vietnam concerning the legislative process, on the basis of which it is possible to make recommendations on amendments to a number of articles of the Constitution of Vietnam, contributing to the improvement of the legislative process.
