Abstract

In this 2nd report, the second type of the stress-strain hysteresis loop of rocks are analysed and discussed in details. The effect of the frequency of pulsating stress on the complex elastic modulus is shown in graphs.Assuming the Voigt-Spring model as the 1st approximation of the rheological model of rocks, the mechanical constants of the elements of model are evaluated from various sets of the test result using the method of least squares. And it is revealed that the viscosity of the dash-pot element of the Voigt-Spring model is much dependent on the frequency of pulsating stress. It means that although the rock belongs to the second type of the rheological behaviour, the rheological model of the rock is a much complicated one as compared with the Voigt-Spring model.
