Abstract

The article analyzes the historiography of the history of the development of Soviet education in Kazakhstan in 1920-1930s. When determining the degree of study of the problem of research on the formation of the Soviet education system in Kazakhstan, an overview of pre-revolutionary research was carried out in order to comprehensively study the issue. Using the comparative historical method of historiography, a study on the history of education for two periods is analyzed. The content of historiographic sources and historical data is revealed and their facts are evaluated. The features of the study, unique historiographic facts, and shortcomings are revealed. Attention is drawn to the source base of the study, the historical sources that the authors brought intoscientific circulation, and the conclusions drawn on their basis are assessed. The works of Russian researchers and the problems they touched upon are shown. The fact is determined that Russian researchers paid great attention to the formation and development of education in the Orenburg region. Based on the historiographic analysis of the works of Russian and Russian historians, attention is drawn to the unexplored aspects of the problem.
