Abstract
The article presents narratives: stories, tales related to the participants of the 1918 May heroic battles – Tovmas Nazarbekyan, Movses Silikyan, Daniel-Bek Pirumyan, Martiros Abrahamyan, Hovhannes Bagramyan, Navasard Veziryan. Sources were the written and oral memories. The article presents one-sided and, most likely, exaggerated stories related to the personality of the Commander-in-chief of the Armenian Corps Tovmas Nazarbekyan, which have been thoroughly analyzed. These stories highlight the unknown pages of the life of the May battles participants. We see the attitude of the people towards their heroes, their mythologization and patriotic activity, which makes their real and already legendary images even more complete.
