Abstract

The paper analyzes charitable actions conducted by the Committee of Her Imperial Highness the Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna (Tatiana Committee) in the Yakutsk region in 1915. The article describes the everyday life of Russian Empire in the First World War period (1914-1918). Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that relying on a wide range of sources the researcher examines the little known facts about the participation of Siberian community in charitable projects to support the victims of the First World War. The research findings are as follows: the author reconstructs the events associated with the organization of charitable actions “Russia’s Helping Hand for Devastated Regions” and “A Bucket of Newly-Harvested Grain” in the Yakutsk region in 1915.
