Abstract

Aspects of the Serbian National Action in Macedonian Slav-Speaking Population (Late 19th Century-Early 20th Century) The paper sets out to examine, place within historical context and outline aspects of the Serbian national action in Macedonia during the last decades of the 19 th century and the early 20 th century. It also aims to explain the historical circumstances under which was emerged Serbian national aspirations in Macedonia, focusing on some attempt developed by Serbia to attract the Macedonian Slav-speaking population in Serbian national ideology through education and remove them from Bulgarian national influence. In addition, it quotes writings of Serbian nationalism and irredentism related to ethno-cultural identity and language of people in Macedonia.
