E-mail :Wai00@fayoum.edu.eg Abstract: The Prince Abu Awn Abd al-Malik bin Yazid al-Azdi al-Jurjani, the leader of the supporters of the Abbasid da'wa in Jurjan, and the ruler of Egypt and Khorasan under the reign of a number of Abbasid caliphs (al- Saffah, al-Mansur, and al-Mahdi), participated in the Abbasid revolution in Khorasan and the fight against the Umayyad presence in it, and he played a major role in the battle of the Zab and the fall The Umayyad state and the killing of Marawan bin Muhammad, Abu Awn assumed the emirate of Egypt for two periods during the reign of al-Saffah and al-Mansur, and the Emirate of Khorasan took two terms during the reign of al-Mansur and al-Mahdi, and he was the first Abbasid prince to establish the military al-Askar city in Egypt and inhabited it after Fustat. He served the first three Abbasid caliphs, as he was entrusted with multiple military missions in: Egypt, west Maghreb, Palestine, Tabaristan and Khurasan, he succeeded in all of them, he died in Baghdad in the year 168 AH / 784 AD.
