Abstract

Dear reader! In your hands are the results of scientific research by the staff of the department "Management of logistics systems and projects" of the Odessa National Maritime University. The department continues its traditions of scientific and teaching activity, the formation of which has almost half a century of history. Constantly working towards the development and enrichment of management methods in accordance with today's requirements, the attention of the authors of this monograph is focused on two modern management methodologies - project and logistics. In modern economic conditions, the processes of globalization are intensifying, the problems of integration of both different companies and different types of activity are deepening. Project management allows, through the application of its unique forms and methods, to cope with these integration processes and to ensure the implementation of projects as efficiently as possible in terms of scope, quality, time, resource and financial constraints. As for logistics management, its modern understanding consists in the combination of logistics and management as a complex localized system of managing material and information flows, a system of new effective relationships that provide the business processes of the enterprise with the necessary resources. Structurally, the monograph consists of three sections. In the section "Modern tools of management at maritime transport enterprises" methodological approaches and management methods are considered, taking into account the specifics of maritime transport enterprises. In the second chapter - "New Concepts of Project Management" the author's developments in the provision of fields of knowledge and processes of project management are outlined both at the general theoretical level and in relation to objects of applied direction. The section "Logistics management and projects" contains scientific results both on the justification and implementation of projects for the creation of logistics systems, and on the application of the principles of logistics within individual projects with any content. We hope that the presented materials will interest scientists and teachers, form the basis for new ideas and scientific research of graduate students and students. The book can be useful for management specialists in their practical activities. From the team of authors, head of the department, doctor of economics, professor, I.O. Lapkinа
