Abstract
1. Listed nematodes were detected by the authors in Kyushu, Japan. Among them Meloidogyne, Heterodera and Pratylenchus include important pests of crops but the damage of other nematodes is to be investigated hereafter.2. In regard to root-lesion nematodes, 3 species were recognized. Pratylenchus coffeae is known as the pests of potato, sweet potato, upland rice etc. and it is distributed all over the Kyushu district. P. vulnus was discovered from the soil around garden trees in Kumamoto City and P. zeae from the soil of upland rice field in Taniyama City, Kagoshima Pref.
