Abstract

The aim of the article is to provide a rationale for principles of a working intermedial relations typology in the modern poetry. The work reviews foreign and Russian classifications of interaction between different codes within a piece of work as a whole. Basing on the systematic review, the author determines the principles relevant to the typology of intermedial relations in the modern poetry. Scientific novelty of the study lies in classifying the mechanisms of interaction between various media, which are referred to by contemporary poets in their creative work. The research findings consist in identifying and describing such types of intermedial relations in the modern poetry as reference, modification, transformation, incorporation, synthesis.
