Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data which can help the activation of Taekwondo studio and further development of Taekwondo as leisure sports for schoolchildren by analyzing the influence that the achievement goal propensity of schoolchildren training Taekwondo has on sports confidence and self-control. Study object was 362 schoolchildren training in Taekwondo studios located in Seoul and Gyeonggi. To process data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis was implemented by using SPSS 23.0 Window Version and Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) was implemented by utilizing AMOS 23.0 statistical program.<BR> First, regression analysis of achievement goal propensity & sports confidence shows that both task goal propensity and self-goal propensity, subfactors of achievement goal propensity have statistically significant influence on characteristic sports confidence and & state sports confidence, subfactors of sports confidence.<BR> Second, regression analysis of achievement goal propensity & self-control shows that both task goal propensity & self-goal propensity, subfactors of achievement goal have statistically significant influence on variables such as physical control, affirmative thought, life control, training control and mental control, subfactors of self-control.<BR> Third, regression analysis of sports confidence & self-control shows that both characteristic sports confidence & state sports confidence, subfactors of sports confidence have statistically significant influence on variables such as physical control, affirmative thought, life control, training control and mental control, subfactors of self-control.
