Abstract
In recent years, renewable energy sources (RES) have become an increasingly important element of Russian energy policy. This work is devoted to the analysis of the development and prospects for the use of renewable energy sources in Russia. The main types of renewable energy sources are considered, such as solar, wind, hydropower, biomass and geothermal energy. Current achievements in this area are assessed, as well as the main obstacles and challenges facing their widespread implementation. Particular attention is paid to government policies and regulatory frameworks that stimulate the development of renewable energy sources, as well as investment and technological innovation. In conclusion, the prospects for the further development of renewable energy in Russia and its role in ensuring energy security and sustainable development of the country are considered.
