Abstract

The following conclusions were obtained by analyzing the body composition and bone density by body part according to the major of female college students, and analyzing body composition and bone density by part according to the type of physical activity.<BR> In this study, female college students were classified according to physical education, dance, and general majors, and as a result of frightening the difference between skeletal muscle mass and lean mass were significantly higher than those of general majors, and there was no significant difference. In addition, as a result of verifying the difference in bone density for each group, the leg bone density was significantly higher in physical education and dance majors than in general majors, and in pelvic, BMD, and T-score, the physical education majors were significantly higher than in general majors.<BR> According to the above results, physical education majors and dance majors have continued to engage in large amounts of intense physical activity through steady exercise and dance movements, confirming high skeletal muscle mass, fat mass, and normal bone density levels.
