Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationships among leisure attitude, health promotion and social role loss for baby-boom generation leisure sports participation.<BR> Methods: To achieve the goal of this study, a total of 283 surveys collected from leisure sports participants in Seoul, Kyuggi, Kang-won and Dae-jeon areas were utilized for analysis. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equating modeling were conducted using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0.<BR> Results: The results of this study are as follows. 1) Leisure attitude of baby-boom generation leisure sport participation had a positive effect on health promotion. 2) Lesuire attitude of baby-boom generation leisure sport participation did not have effect on social role loss. 3) Health promotion of baby-boom generation leisure sport participation did not have effect on social role loss. 4) Health promotion mediated the relationship between Leisure attitude and social role loss in baby-boom generation leisure sport participation<BR> Conclusion: In summary, the findings in this study confirm that social role loss decreases when immersed in leisure sports.
