Роль инноваций в стратегическом развитии российских промышленных корпораций

Abstract

In modern conditions, the strategic development of Russian industrial corporations is unthinkable without their innovative activities that require an integrated approach to implementing all types of innovations. Successful innovations provide businesses with a significant advantage over the competitors by increasing the loyalty of consumers, business partners and investors, strengthening leadership in the industry, expanding market share and developing new markets, improving corporate image and financial performance. Among the problems in the innovation activities of the Russian companies there is mentioned the slow build-up of the resource base for innovation; growth of innovation activity below normal; noticeable lagging behind European countries in terms of the specific weight of domestic innovative products; low speed of innovative developments with a steady disregard for collaboration with external partners and the purchase of ready-made new technological solutions from third party companies. It has been found that the high cost of innovations and the lack of companies' own funds for their implementation have a restraining effect on the innovation activity. Analysis of the best innovative experience of companies allowed to identify the key success factors of innovation activities that should be taken into account in solving these problems. In the list of such factors are the development of its own innovative strategy with an ambitious goal setting; an integrated approach to the implementation of innovations and the maximum use by companies of their capabilities - from generating ideas to conducting systematic work with external business partners; providing innovation with the necessary resources and creating an organizational structure that ensures a more efficient organization of the innovation process; organizing an effective innovation management system in order to rationalize it; introducing a strong corporate culture and motivation system.
