Abstract
The given article tells religious and philosophical information about Shambala, which reflected in the Kyrgyz folk. The history of a mysterious country, where just people, «who have perfectly clean ideas», and secret of its location are forced to excite mind of scientists and to attract investigators until the present day. We can find the information about Shambala, which is the holy land of the highest wisdom and happiness, in the scientific investigations and diaries of travelers, in theosophical books and in ancient text of Tibetian buddists. Purpose of the research: analysis of information from Kyrgyz folklore about Shambhala. Research objectives: carrying out a comparative analysis of world esotericism and the content of Kyrgyz mythology about Shambhala; Revealing the connection between sacred place names in the Holy Scriptures and geographical realities. Research methods: data analysis, comparison, observation, as well as dialectical and logical methods.
