Abstract
The book suggests answers to such questions as what religion phenomenon is, how and when it appeared, what its content is, what this social phenomenon’s survival secret is. It has been for several ages that humanity tries to realize derivation reasons of mysterious and special forms of thought. However, its secret has not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, no one denies its significant role in social life. Religion is important in society governance because of its influence on human psychology. Religion helps people to struggle against misfortune and troubles through hope to a better end. Religion has an incomparable importance in spiritual purification, moral maturity and raising benignity. Religion assists people to reach a happy life, grants them with a hope to get rid of suffers through struggles they have to face; affecting their inner world it awakes optimism in people’s hearts. The book consists of four parts. They are ancient religions, world religions, tolerance and religious texts, in addition, it is devoted to remarkable sides of religious politics of Uzbekistan.
