Abstract

During 1995—2014 alone, the prevalence of municipal solid waste recycling in the European Union more than doubled. One of the clauses of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine determines the relevance of the study of the municipal solid waste management system. Therefore, the definition of regression dependence, which describes the dynamics of the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region to solve the problem of municipal solid waste management is an urgent scientific and technical task. The aim of the study is to determine the dependence by regression analysis, which describes the dynamics of the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region to solve the problem of municipal solid waste management. The study used the method of regression analysis of the results of one-factor experiments and other pair dependences with the choice of the most adequate type of function from the 16 most common options by the criterion of maximum correlation coefficient. The regression was performed on the basis of linearizing transformations, which allow to reduce the nonlinear dependence to the linear one. The coefficients of the regression equation were determined by the method of least squares with the help of the developed computer program "RegAnaliz", which is protected by a copyright registration certificate for the work. Adequate regression dependence is obtained, which describes the dynamics of the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region. A graphical dependence is constructed, which describes the dynamics of the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region and allows to illustrate this dynamics, to show sufficient convergence of theoretical and actual results. It is established that during 2014—2020 the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region increased by the degree of dependence. It is predicted that the prevalence of recycling and utilization of municipal solid waste in Vinnytsia region at the current growth rate may reach the European average of 74.51 % in 2030.
