Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is to present a theoretical approach to the phenomenon of leadership and to explain the numerous and evolving theories around it. Firstly, an attempt is made to set a specific conceptual framework, in order to further analyze current trends in modern research. The objectives, goals and responsibilities of the leadership are broached, but also what factors influence the exercise of the leader's duties. In addition, a historical review is used to examine the phenomenon of leadership as defined by great leadership theorists, as well as the analysis of the impact of ethics on the decision-making process. Moreover, the multifaceted concepts of power in relation to the phenomenon of leadership are also analyzed. Finally, the paper discusses the position and the reaction of leadership to the possibility of an emerging crisis, along with specific guidelines.
