Abstract
Red mud of alumina production is multicomponent man-caused raw source, among others and rare metals. Offered technology of sludge treatment with the use of flue gas, containing up 17% CO 2 , is advanced technique for extracting of scandium as well as titanium and zirconium. There were investigated sludges of Ural aluminum plant. Operations of carbonization and production of scandium concentrate carrying out on test site, envisaged recovery of carbon dioxide of the main alumina production.
