Abstract
The article describes the lexico-semantic peculiarities of the thematic group “nominations of dwellings and parts of a traditional yurt” in the Khakass language. The author applies to the materials from other Turkic and Mongolian languages. Practically all dwelling nominations belong to the all-Turkic vocabulary, except the word ӧрге. Parts of the traditional Khakass dwelling were differentiated according to social and gender characteristics. All the terms are illustrated with examples from the Khakass fiction and folklore.
