Abstract

This study examined the moderated mediating effect of proactive personality on therelationship among social class, work volition and decent work for 369 workers in their 20s and30s across the country. The results of this study are as follows. First, work volition and workvolition against structural constraints fully mediated the relationship between social class anddecent work, whereas work volition against economic constraints and will did not. Second,proactive personality moderated the relationship between work volition against structuralconstraints and decent work. Third, proactive personality moderated the mediating effect ofwork volition against structural constraints between social class and decent work. The Findingssuggest that it is necessary to enhance work volition and proactive personality for theacquisition of decent work among adult workers.
