Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of sensation seeking in sports participants using a meta-analysis. First of all, five dissertations, ten journal articles, and an academic one presentation paper total of 16 research papers were used to analyze the relationship between sensation seeking and dependent variables via the comprehensive meta-analysis(CMA) program. Study results are as follows: First, sensory seeking had a medium effect size, high correlation size was derived in order of experience pursuit, thrills, sensitivity, and disinhibition, experience pursuit, thrills, and sensitization showed medium effect size, and disinhibition was small effect size.<BR> Second, when analyzing the effect of sports participants" sensation seeking on dependent variables, the correlation effect size of persistence was the highest, differences were identified in order of cognitive commitment and behavioral commitment, and the effect size of dependent variables was shown in medium effect size.
