Abstract

Job demand and job control in JD-C model proposed by Karasek are the important variables influencing on job burnout and turnover intention of organization employees. Job demand has positive influences on job burnout and turnover intention of individual. And job control given at work has negative influences on job burnout and turnover intention of individual. But these study may not be sufficient in hotel industry. The purpose of this study is to analyse the multi-relations for job demand, job control, job burnout and turnover intention of hotel employees. The analysis based on data collected from 285 working regular employees at deluxe hotel in Seoul Korea. Also, The data collected are processed by multi-regression for empirical analysis. The results of this study are as follows.<BR> First, job demand has positive impact on job burnout. Second, job control has negative impact on job burnout. Third, job demand has positive impact on turnover intention. Forth, job control has negative impact on turnover intention. Lastly, job burnout has positive impact on turnover intention.<BR> In conclusion, hotel organizations do their formal and informal systematic efforts to reduce the job burnout and turnover intention through strategical management of the job demand and job control of hotel employees.
