Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify the features of the Slavic folklore motives interpretation in the conceptualization of reality in the individual author’s worldview. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time it studies the content structure of the DREAM concept in O. Grigorieva’s novel “Ladoga”. As a result of the study, the representatives of the DREAM concept in the novel are identified; its cognitive signs are revealed; the methods of figurative modelling of the concept and its value component are characterized. It has been found that in the author’s model of the world, the state of dream is presented as special reality. The DREAM concept has an ambivalent character and plays a key role in the compositional plot construction of the novel.
