Abstract

The article analyzes the most important and relevant shifts that have emerged in Russia's foreign trade in 2021. The basis of the study was the recently published final results of the foreign trade activity of the Russian Federation during this period according to official data of domestic customs statistics. The materials presented by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation and calculated on their basis data show the presence of significant positive trends in the dynamics and geographical structure of Russian foreign trade relations. The author emphasizes that such changes took place in the context of a number of complications in the recovery process of the world and major national economies after the crisis shocks of 2020 due to the large-scale manifestation and spread of a new viral infection. The ongoing trade conflicts, the sanctions confrontation between western countries and Russia, and other destabilizing factors also contributed to the global economic dynamics. The article presents the latest statistical materials, calculated data, introduced into the domestic scientific circulation for the first time.
