Abstract

The attention is paid in the article on the necessity of developing the methodological system of learning the Ukrainian as a foreign language (UFL) at Ukrainian Medical Higher Institutions. The process of occurrence of basic terms and their application in various scientific branches has been analyzed, including Pedagogy and Methodology. The key notions of the methodological system of learning the Ukrainian as a foreign language by medical students have been considered and proved at institutions of higher education (IHE), in particular, such as “system”, “methodological system of education”, “model of education”, “Ukrainian as a foreign language”, “subject of education”, “object of education”, “competency”, “competence”, “professional and communicative competence of a foreign medical student”. The author finds out, that a system is the conceptually integrated phenomenon, constituent components of which are in regular internal connection, that causes constant interaction and interdependence of these components and creates logically structured unity. Methodological system of education is the complex, holistic, hierarchically structured system, that consists of interrelated and inter-conditional functional components (approach to studying, goals, content, tasks, principles, methods, forms, means of education) and directs the formation of certain competences and competencies, achievement of the desired results, increasing the efficiency of the education process of. The article indicates, that the methodological system of learning the Ukrainian as a foreign language is grounded on the basis of the characteristics mentioned above and provides the construction of its generalized professionally oriented, optimally structured and predicted model , that will promote consistent and practical realization of the proposed system. It emphasizes that the Ukrainian as a foreign language is not only a means of everyday communication of students who are foreign citizens in foreign language environment, but a tool for obtaining special knowledge and mastering the profession of a doctor, the main aim of which is the provision of qualified medical assistance for a patient. The aim of the methodological system is to study the Ukrainian as a foreign language at medical IHE, namel to prepare foreign medical students for clinical practice at medical institutions, that trains to consider the specificity of communication between a doctor and a patient.
